This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Vermilion River; what would winter be without some skiing at Giants Ridge. Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites MOUNTAIN IRON (VIRGINIA) is a splendid site to get some rest, and a fine place to camp here at Little Jammer Lake is Midway Motel. The Mesabi Range scenery is always       beautiful. Summertime highs at Little Jammer Lake generally tend to be in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. Highs throughout the winter are commonly in the 10's; after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Little Jammer Lake drop into the-10's. It is very dehydrated here at Little Jammer Lake typically; June is when you get the most rain here, and February is when it's the driest. Man, is there loads of amusing stuff                  to do in the Mesabi Range. Why not camp at Pfeifer Lake Campground if you're here at Little Jammer Lake, and nearby you locate the Taconite Trail which is a good hiking trail. And if that's not enough, there's a load more to do right next door to Little Jammer Lake.
