Camping is available at Gunflint Pines, and there are tremendous places to look at along the Stairway Portage. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Little Gunflint Lake. Camping at Gateway-hungry Jack Lodge is always a fine experience; nearby you discover the Height of Land Portage which is a good hiking trail. If you come at the right time of year, Cascade River       offers some good whitewater, and Frances Bay is very near and is a brilliant site to have a look at. High temperatures at Little Gunflint Lake during the summer months are in the 70's with nighttime lows in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 10's, and overnight lows at Little Gunflint Lake during the wintertime usually plunge into the-10's. Everybody close by loves skiing at Lutsen, and going for a hike on the South Lake Portage is always a delightful                  adventure. Little Gunflint Lake gets a common amount of annual precipitation; throughout August this area sees the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful.
