Thistledew Campground is a brilliant campground nearby, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Valley River Trail. Summertime highs at Little Bear Lake regularly tend to be in the 70's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 10's, and overnight lows through the winter for Little Bear Lake tend to be in the-20's. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around

Good hiking is available along the Wasson Lake Trail, and Country Inn By Carlson Grand Rapids is a perfect place to get some rest. There is plenty to do at the resort too. Swan Lake is known for its water clarity throughout the summer. Fishing is almost always good with a healthy supply of sunfish, crappies, northern and walleyes. Largemouth bass are definitely the most sought after fish the past few years with most of them released again after they are weighed and their picture is taken for our ''fishing report'' board. Our swimming area is safely marked off with no dangerous drop offs. We have plenty of sand for sunbathing and sandcastle building.
When you're not in or on the water you can play volleyball, badminton, ''fun'' frisbee golf, basketball, pitch horseshoes or play bocce ball. All recreational equipment can be checked out at no charge. Our game room is always busy with kids playing pinball or pool. At our convenience st... |
