Lakes are nice; Mud Lake is a lake that's right next door to Lena Lake, and a magnificent close by hotel is Lodge at Crooked Lake. So much entertaining stuff to do at Lena Lake, so little time. Best Western Northwoods Lodge is a fine place       to get some rest, and camping at Boulder Campground is always a tremendous experience. Not far from Lena Lake, you'll hit upon Greigs Lake which is a gorgeous lake; Lena Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Sioux Portage Campground is a good local campground. During the warm months highs here at Lena Lake reach the 80's while night lows are ordinarily in the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are usually in the 10's, and night lows at Lena Lake                  throughout the winter generally sink into the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Lower Tamarack River offers some pleasant whitewater, and good hiking is available along the Markville Snowmobile Trail.
