Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Bemidji Inn; Laxon Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, KOA Kampgrounds is a great local campground. Laxon Lake is pretty dried up generally; the month with most of the rain is June; the driest of the months is February. This place, Laxon Lake, it just has so much outdoors       cool stuff. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore nearby Ahlin Lake. Going for a hike along the Thorhult Waskish Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area.
