The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Lauer Lake. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 10's while Lauer Lake night low temperatures through the wintertime are in the-10's. After a long day outdoors Trappers Landing Lodge is a fine place to spend a night or two; there's pleasant hiking along the Lake Erin Trail. Whipholt Creek is a pretty stream       that is worth visiting, and Lauer Lake is a magnificent location to visit for more than one day, Austin's Swamp is a magnificent location to camp nearby. If you need a place to stay Americinn - Walker, Mn is a splendid choice, and tremendous hiking is available along the North Country Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Pikedale Lodge is a tremendous local campground; a tour to Diamond Point is always a fine idea. But wait, there's more to do in the vicinity                  of Lauer Lake. While you're here at Lauer Lake you will meet lots of folks from nearby Brainerd, and don't leave Lauer Lake without first going for a hike along the Goose Lake Trail System.
