Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 10's, and nighttime lows during the winter for Lauer Lake tend to be in the-10's. - Walker, Mn is a great choice; while you're here, you could also have a look at beautiful Horseshoe Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Lauer Lake is right by the North Country Trail, and Diamond Point is very near and is a wonderful
spot to stop by. A common amount of rainfall falls here at Lauer Lake; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful.

Mabel Lake Campground
 | 18 miles away ...rite Minnesota campgrounds and we stay here several times each summer. We love that it is right on a lake and that many of the sites have their own little beach. The campground is quiet and the sites˙ are screened from one another for privacy. I hate to even post a review out of the fear that our favorite camping secret will become everyone's camping favorite. It is close enough to Longville˙ and Remer that you can run in for ice and supplies as needed. One small hint that I will pass on is that you might want to stop in Longville or Hackensack to buy your˙ firewood as the campground does not have any for sale.Mabel Lake campground is not on a campsite reservation system but we have never had a problem finding a site here. We discovered this campground as a result of finding one of the more popular Leech Lake campgrounds full. Once we found Mabel Lake, we never bothered with the other campgrounds in the area again. Mabel Lake is rustic so those seeking hook-ups, flush toilets, and running water best move on to the more crowded campgrounds on Leech Lake and leave us to our own peacefu... |
