What a nice lake Larch Lake is. All through the summertime, highs generally are in the 70's at Larch Lake. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 10's, and winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Larch Lake. If you came for an overnight stay Gunflint Pines is a tremendous place to camp, and you can go for a hike on the Granite River Portage. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Lutsen,

| | and there are tremendous places to discover along the Gneiss Lake Portage. Going for a hike on the Pine Portage is always a great adventure. This lake is so wonderful. Baker Lake Campground is a great local campground, and why not take a little visit to Larch Creek since you're here. A typical amount of rain falls here at Larch Lake; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain while February is generally the driest month.
