This lake is so wonderful. A lake nearby is Carver Lake, and Mississippi National River & Recreation Area is a good local destination. You think that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Ponds at Battle Creek Golf Course is a tremendous golf course close by; camping is available at St. Paul East RV Park. A normal       amount of rainfall falls here at La Lake; June is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is February. Get your heart pumping on the good whitewater of Vermilion River, and a great close by hotel is Hampton Inn Woodbury. La Lake is not far at all from Minneapolis-St. Paul-Bloomington. For the period of the summer, highs mostly are in the 80's at La Lake while overnight lows are regularly in the 60's. Daytime highs through the wintertime                  are in the 20's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at La Lake drop into the 0's.
