Keene Lake gets a normal amount of yearly rainfall; during June this area sees the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Lower Tamarack River, and Sutton Lake is a pleasant lake close by.       Why not take a refreshing hike along the Markville Snowmobile Trail; you can stay the night at Sioux Portage Campground. This lake is so wonderful. A pleasant nearby hotel is Lodge at Crooked Lake; there are some pleasant whitewater spots on Upper Tamarack River. Be careful coming to Keene Lake, you might not ever want to return back home again. After a long day outdoors Best Western Northwoods Lodge is a pleasant spot to spend a night or two, and Keene Lake                  is right by the Minnesota-Wisconsin Boundary State Trail. Summertime highs at Keene Lake generally tend to be in the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 50's.
