All through the days of summer highs here at Kauppi Lake get into the 70's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 10's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Kauppi Lake dip into the-10's. Lakes are such peaceful spots, why not stop by Strand Lake close to Kauppi Lake; whitewater paddling is great       on St. Louis River. This lake is so wonderful. Golden Pond is a pleasant lake close to Kauppi Lake; if you're here you will meet lots of folks from nearby Duluth. Kauppi Lake gets very little rain; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Budget Host Virginia is a nice spot to get some rest, and there's some exciting stuff to see at Stephen Slimak Wildlife Pond Dam                  close to Kauppi Lake. So many cool things to do here at Kauppi Lake, too fine to be true. A good nearby hotel is Eveleth Super 8 Motel, and if you came to camp Pine River Campground is a pleasant place to do that. Paddling on Cloquet River is so much fun.
