You think that's enough? Just getting warmed up. After a long day outdoors Country Inn By Carlson Grand Rapids is a wonderful spot to spend a night or two. The amount of rainfall that falls at Joy Lake is close to the national average; June is when you get the most rain here; the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful.       Go for a hike on the Holstrum Spur Trail, and you can stay the night at Thistledew Campground. For the period of the summertime highs here at Joy Lake get into the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally in the 10's while Joy Lake overnight low temperatures through the winter are in the-20's. Good hiking is available along the Wilson Lake Trail; Rum Lake is a nearby lake                  that you could check out. Going for a hike on the Valley River Trail is always a splendid adventure.
