    Why not stop by Johnson Lake if you're passing through these parts. Summer at Johnson Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's while overnight lows are typically in the 50's. During the wintertime highs are commonly in the 10's with temperatures at Johnson Lake dipping down into the-10's through winter nights. The Link Lake Trail is a good hiking trail near Johnson Lake, and you can run the rapids of Sturgeon River. You just can't envision the amount  
   of outdoors amusing stuff the area next to Johnson Lake has to offer. If you came to camp C C Campground 717 is a great spot to do that; there is a great hiking trail nearby called the Stingy Lake Trail.
All year is a glorious time in the Mesabi Range if you love the outdoors. There's so much to do here at Johnson Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Stony Brook Campground is a great spot for that, and Hibbing Super 8 Motel is a delightful site
 
               to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Johnson Lake, you'll find Beatrice Lake which is a gorgeous lake, and if you need a spot to stay Hibbing Park Hotel is a splendid choice. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting stuff in the Mesabi Range. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore nearby Section Eleven Lake.
Near Johnson Lake you stumble on the Snake Trail which is a splendid hiking trail; there's whitewater on Little Fork River for all you thrill seekers. Johnson Lake gets a normal amount of annual rain; the wettest month of the year is usually June, that's the one that rains the most; February meanwhile is the driest month. Johnson Lake is one of the lakes here in the Mesabi Range.

Largemouth bass are definitely the most sought after fish the past few years with most of them released again after they are weighed and their picture is taken for our ''fishing report'' board. Our swimming area is safely marked off with no dangerous drop offs. We have plenty of sand for sunbathing and sandcastle building.
