The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Andes Tower Hill; a splendid location to camp here at Johnson Lake is Viking Motel. A brilliant nearby hotel is Super 8 Motel - Alexandria; why not camp at Hillcrest RV Park while you're here at Johnson Lake. Throughout the warmest time of the year at Johnson Lake highs are mostly in the 80's while nighttime lows are ordinarily       in the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 10's, and overnight lows at Johnson Lake throughout the winter generally fall into the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. The good folks of Alexandria like to hang out nearby, and you can take a little visit to Brophy Lake Dam if you're here at Johnson Lake. So many entertaining things to do at Johnson Lake, so little time. After a long day outdoors Alexandria-Days Inn is a tremendous location to spend a night                  or two. Johnson Lake is not the only spot nearby, Brophy Lake is a nearby lake, and playing golf is lots of fun at Arrowwood Golf Club.
