Once the sun is down it drops down to the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's with temperatures at Johnson Lake dipping down into the 0's all through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Johnson Lake without first going for a hike along the Sunrise Ferry Hiking Trail. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun stuff close to                  Johnson Lake. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Johnson Lake has to offer, you can camp at Schillberg's Campgrounds; the skiing at Trollhaugen is glorious. There's so much to do here at Johnson Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Whispering Bay Resort is a good location for that; you can run the rapids of St. Croix River. Johnson Lake gets a normal amount of annual precipitation; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily June, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful.
