This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Apple River for all you adrenaline rush seekers; a round of golf at nearby Krooked Kreek Golf Course is a great way to kill some time. After a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Stillwater, Mn is a perfect place to spend a night or two, and why not head up to Trollhaugen and strap some skis to your feet. Johnson Lake       is a pleasant spot to visit for more than one day, Whispering Bay Resort is a pleasant spot to camp nearby, and if the weather is brilliant, you can go for a hike along the Sunrise Ferry Hiking Trail. But wait, there's more to do close to Johnson Lake. A trip to Saint Croix National Scenic River is recommended, and Schillberg's Campgrounds is a brilliant local campground. At Johnson Lake through the warm months highs are in the 80's while night lows are                  frequently in the 60's. During the wintertime highs are typically in the 20's with temperatures at Johnson Lake dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. There are some great whitewater spots on St. Croix River; Lower Lake is a tremendous lake close by. This lake is so wonderful. Wild Mountain is a very popular ski area around here. A common amount of rain falls here at Johnson Lake; through the month of June you get the most rain around here; the driest month of the year is February.
