This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Poplar River, and a quick visit to Dawkins Creek is without doubt a nice idea. The annual rainfall here at Jester Lake is about average; August is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is February. Gunflint Pines is a tremendous campground nearby, and if you       need a place to stay Americinn - Tofte, Mn is a good choice. The skiing at Lutsen is delightful, and you can have a perfect hiking adventure along the Pine Portage. If you come at the right time of year, Temperance River offers some great whitewater, and dry warm beds await you at Caribou Highlands Lodge. All the outdoors exciting stuff near Jester Lake will keep you coming back again and again. While you're here at Jester Lake you can take a hike along the                  Granite River Portage, and Jester Lake is a good spot to visit for more than one day, Baker Lake Campground is a good spot to camp nearby. At Jester Lake through the days of summer highs are in the 70's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's.
