Spirit Mountain is a very popular ski area around here, and Island Lake Reservoir is a glorious place to visit for more than one day, Eagle's Nest Resort is a glorious place to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. There are plenty of folks from Duluth here at Island Lake Reservoir, and after a long day outdoors Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Duluth North, Mn is a great location to spend a night or two. Summertime at Island Lake Reservoir comes with high temperatures

| | in the 70's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 10's with temperatures at Island Lake Reservoir dipping down into the-10's through winter nights. There are some glorious whitewater spots on Lester River.
And that's not all you can do here at Island Lake Reservoir. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Amity Creek; since you're here, you could also go to pretty Island Lake Reservoir. | |

We are always listed as a resort with cabin rentals. our 7 site seasonal campground that has not had an opening for several years, so it is never listed under campgrounds.
