Island Lake gets a typical amount of rain; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. For the duration of the long summer days at Island Lake temperatures are typically in the 80's while nighttime lows are typically in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in       the 10's; winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Island Lake. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. Mississippi National River & Recreation Area is a very great place to stop at next to Island Lake, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Buck Hill since you're here. A round of golf at nearby North Oaks Golf Club is a fine way to kill some time, and while you're here, you could also pop by picturesque Mud Lake. Skiing                  at Hyland Ski is one of those things you just must do, and camping at Northernaire Motel is always a good experience. A glorious place to camp here at Island Lake is J Robinson Intensive Camps, and Snail Lake is a nearby lake that you could pop by. You definitely must love Island Lake.
