From a rainfall point of view Island Lake is a quite normal place; through the month of June you get the most rain around here, and February is when it's the driest. Throughout the summertime months at Island Lake temperatures are mostly in the 70's, and the night is fairly colder of course, commonly in the 50's. All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 10's, and winter       nights come with lows in the-10's to Island Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Cutfoot Sioux National Recreation Trail, and camping at West Seelye Campground is always a fine experience. There are great locations to look at along the Lost '40' Trail.
