A tremendous close by hotel is Super 8 Motel - Park Rapids, and while you're here you can play some golf at Eagle View Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Cmon Inns Park Rapids is a brilliant choice; Hay Creek is near Island Lake and is always a diversion to stop at. Take a hike on the Nicolet Trail. Man, is there       loads of entertaining things to do next to Island Lake. You could also explore Eagle Lake since you're here at Island Lake; it's nearby; why not take a refreshing hike along the Desoto Trail. High temperatures at Island Lake throughout the days of summer are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 10's while the cold winter nights at Island Lake are in the-10's. A typical amount                  of rain falls here at Island Lake; the wettest month of the year is regularly June, that's the one that rains the most; February is when it's the driest.
