     You could also have a look at Tack Lake while you're here at Iowa Lake; it's close by; there's good hiking along the Rib Lake Trail. This lake is so wonderful. You can never get enough of the great skiing at Lutsen, and don't leave Iowa Lake without first going for a hike along the Honeymoon Trail. Through the summertime months at Iowa Lake highs are typically in the 70's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. Through  
   the wintertime this place gets highs in the 10's; overnight lows in the-10's for Iowa Lake. This lake is so wonderful. In case you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Temperance River.
A wonderful nearby hotel is Caribou Highlands Lodge; why not visit close by Willow Creek since you're here at Iowa Lake. Poplar River is a magnificent whitewater spot in the vicinity of Iowa Lake, and hiking is a popular thing to
 
               do around Iowa Lake; Pine Portage is a great local trail. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Iowa Lake has to offer, you can camp at Crescent Lake Campground, and if you've had enough of Iowa Lake, Corny Lake is close by.
Don't stop me now, cause I'm havin' a good time here at Iowa Lake. If you need a location to stay Eagle Ridge Resort at Lutsen Mountains is a splendid choice. There's so much to do here at Iowa Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Poplar River Campground is a glorious location for that. The annual rain here at Iowa Lake is about average; during August this area sees the most rain; February on the other hand is the driest.
