At Hyland Lake you always meet someone from Minneapolis-St. Paul-Bloomington, and you can stay the night at Town & Country Campground. A day on the slopes of Buck Hill is just what you need; if you have time, Mississippi National River & Recreation Area is a national park worth visiting. This lake is so wonderful. After a long       day outdoors La Quinta Inn and Suites Minneapolis Bloomington W is a perfect site to spend a night or two; why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Fred Richards Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. Head up to Hyland Ski and strap some skis to your feet. Summertime highs at Hyland Lake regularly tend to be in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's with winter lows                  in the 0's overnight here at Hyland Lake. So many entertaining things to do at Hyland Lake, so little time. Mount Gilboa is picturesque and can be seen from Hyland Lake, and Hyland Lake is a nice place to visit for more than one day, Town and Country Campground is a nice place to camp nearby. From a rain point of view Hyland Lake is a reasonably common site; most of the rain falls during June while February is typically the driest month.
