Hungry Jack Lake is always a pleasure to visit. Summer at Hungry Jack Lake comes with high temperatures in the 70's while overnight lows are ordinarily in the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 10's; overnight lows through the winter for Hungry Jack Lake tend to be in the-10's. Having a nice time at Hungry Jack Lake is painless. There are other places here than Hungry Jack Lake, for example Bearskin Lake, and do take a hike on

| | the Long Portage. Paddling on Cascade River is so much fun, and why not head up to Lutsen and strap some skis to your feet.
This lake is so wonderful. East Bearskin Campground is a brilliant local campground; if you need a place to stay Best Western Superior Inn And Suites is a wonderful choice. This lake is so wonderful. Hungry Jack Lake is a good place of common rain; August is when you get the most rain here, and February on the other hand is the driest.

Hiking along the South Lake Portage is wonderful fun, and not far from Hungry Jack Lake you'll find Spen Lake which is a pretty lake. Devil Track River has a splendid whitewater paddling spot close by; why not take a refreshing hike
along the Stairway Portage. Why not camp at Gateway-hungry Jack Lodge while you're here at Hungry Jack Lake; dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel - Grand Marais.

Two Island Lake Campground
 | I have only been there in the winter waiting for the mushers to come through (for the Beargease Marathon), it is where I want my ashes to be. I missed one year of the Beargrease race (1998) but the next year I was there at Two Island it was a full moon and it was snowing at the same time, could see down the trail like it was daylight but it was snowing....that was my sign...like I didn't fall in love with it before...this is a beautiful place, small camground but nice in the summer. jkf... |

Echo is a nice lake to stop and drop a line when in the Schroeder tofte area. It is just up the road from Nine mile lake campground and has an easy to catch supply of small trout.
