After a long day outdoors Budget Host Motel Ely is a great location to spend a night or two, and you're probably keen on lakes, Tin Can Mike Lake is one of those close by. Horse Lake is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Gateway North Outfitters is a delightful local campground; hiking is a popular thing to do around Horse Lake; Kelly Trail is a tremendous local trail. The       amount of rain that falls at Horse Lake is close to the national average; most of the rain falls throughout June, and February on the other hand is the driest. I don't want to stop, cause I'm havin' a delightful time here at Horse Lake. Good hiking is available along the Stuart Portage, and in case you don’t mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Stony River. During the warmest time of the year here at Horse Lake, high temperatures typically                  reach the 70's with night lows in the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 10's; during the dark hours in the wintertime at Horse Lake temperatures dip to the-10's.
