From a rainfall point of view Hooker Lake is a rather typical place; the wettest month of the year is mostly August, that's the one that rains the most; February is the month with the least moisture. There's whitewater on Cascade River for all you thrill seekers, and dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel - Grand Marais. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Hooker Lake, and all through the night it cools       down to the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 10's, and overnight lows in the-10's for Hooker Lake. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Hooker Lake; Long Portage is a great local trail, and if you need a spot to stay East Bay Suites is a glorious choice. This lake is so wonderful. The snow is wonderful at Lutsen, and if you came for an overnight stay Gateway-hungry Jack Lodge is a good place to camp. This location is excellent, just check                  out all the fun stuff to do in close proximity to Hooker Lake. There's fine hiking along the South Lake Portage, and East Bearskin Campground is a glorious local campground.
