Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Hook Lake, and all through the night it cools down to the 40's. During the winter highs are commonly in the 10's, and overnight lows at Hook Lake through the wintertime generally fall into the-20's. This lake is so wonderful. A great nearby hotel is Grand Ely Lodge Resort and Conference       Center, and lakes are such calm places, why not pop by Rice Lake. Very lovely scenery and delightful skiing is what you get at Giants Ridge; there are other spots here than Hook Lake, for example Keneu Lake. Budget Host Motel Ely is a pleasant place to get some rest, and there's good hiking along the Crooked Lake Trail. That right there is a heap already, but it carries on; Hook Lake has it all. There are brilliant places to discover along the Stuart Portage,                  and a delightful place to camp here at Hook Lake is Silver Rapids Lodge Restaurant.
