Not far from Hizer Lake, you'll hit upon Benfield Lake which is a pretty lake, and enjoy a round of golf at 29 Pines Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. There are some good whitewater spots on Midway River, and a perfect close by hotel is Americinn - Cloquet, Mn. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit       close by Munson Lake; if you need a spot to stay Americinn - Carlton, Mn is a fine choice. Now, you may believe that's a heap but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here at Hizer Lake. Camping is available at Park Lake Resort and Campgrounds, and the skiing at Spirit Mountain is pleasant. Hizer Lake gets a common amount of annual rain; during the month of June you get the most rain around here, and February is when it's the driest. During the warm                  days of summer here at Hizer Lake, high temperatures commonly reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's.
