This lake is so wonderful. A day on the slopes of Buena Vista is just what you need, and if you get bored of Hirts Lake you could also stop by close by Newman Lake. Hirts Lake is pretty waterless ordinarily; July is the wettest month with most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Hirts Lake is a magnificent       place to visit for more than one day, KOA Kampgrounds is a magnificent place to camp nearby, and Hirts Lake is not the only place close by, Apple Lake is a close by lake. High temperatures at Hirts Lake all through the months of summer are in the 70's. Summer night lows descend down to the 50's. All through the winter highs are regularly in the 10's while Hirts Lake overnight low temperatures during the winter are in the-10's. If you want a great time                  in the great outdoors, just come on down to Hirts Lake. You'll meet a lot of folks from Bemidji here, and Best Western Bemidji Inn is a nice site to get some rest.
