Have a perfect hiking adventure along the Giese Truck Trail. If you need a place to stay Days Inn Hinckley is a delightful choice, and if you've had enough of Hellmans Lake, Charlie Bear Lake is nearby. Hellmans Lake gets a normal amount of rain; during the month of June you get the most rain       around here, and the driest month is February. Now, you may believe that's lots but there's even more exciting stuff to do here at Hellmans Lake. Take a hike on the Herubin Truck Trail, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Kettle River. Waldheim Resort is a magnificent local campground, needless to say you could also visit Grass Lake since you're here; it's not far at all. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Americas Best Value Inn, and an                  afternoon playing golf at Sandstone Area Country Club is always a diversion. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Hellmans Lake; the nighttime is slightly colder of course, frequently in the 50's.
