There's so much to do here at Headquarters Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Gafvert Campground is a glorious place for that; Headquarters Lake is not the only location close by, Soper Lake is a close by lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Americinn - Cloquet, Mn is a great choice, and glide down the       rapids of St. Louis River in a kayak. A normal amount of rain falls here at Headquarters Lake; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Headquarters Lake. Through the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 50's.
