This lake is so wonderful. Gotta ski! Buena Vista is a great location to do that, and great hiking is available along the Carter Lake Trail. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool stuff close to Head Lake. Lots of people from Bemidji come to Head Lake; Wending Lake is a nice lake nearby. Head Lake gets very little precipitation;       the wettest month of the year is regularly July, that's the one that rains the most, and February on the other hand is the driest. Super 8 Bemidji MN is a good place to get some rest, and a wonderful spot to camp here at Head Lake is Gull Lake Campground and Mobile. A brilliant close by hotel is Americinn - Bemidji, Mn, and there are other locations here than Head Lake, for example Gibibwisher Lake. Summertime at Head Lake comes with high temperatures                  in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's.
