This lake is so wonderful. Do take a look at Sand Lake in the vicinity of Hay Lake, it's a scenic lake; Wild Mountain is a very popular ski area in the neighborhood. If only every place had this much outdoors cool stuff, what a great planet it would be. High temperatures at Hay Lake through the warmest time of the year are in the 80's, and the night is a bit colder of course, frequently in the 60's. Highs during the winter are generally in the 20's with temperatures at Hay Lake dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. Get your pulse rate up on the wonderful whitewater of St. Croix River; the best way                  to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Trollhaugen. This lake is so wonderful. You'll locate a pretty lake called Long Lake near Hay Lake. There's so much to do here at Hay Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Whispering Bay Resort is a tremendous location for that. Hay Lake gets a typical amount of yearly rainfall; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is February.
