Why not pop by Hay Creek Dam while you're here, and whitewater paddling is glorious on Upper Tamarack River. Not       far from Hay Creek Flowage, you'll locate Hay Creek Reservoir which is a wonderful lake; dry warm beds await you at Best Western Northwoods Lodge. This lake is so wonderful. Near Hay Creek Flowage you stumble on the Markville Snowmobile Trail which is a great hiking trail, and if you came to camp Boulder Campground is a magnificent place to do that. Lakes? Sure, Billys Lake is in the neighborhood, and going for a hike on the Minnesota-Wisconsin Boundary                  State Trail is always a pleasant adventure. This lake is so wonderful. For the period of the summertime highs here at Hay Creek Flowage reach the 80's. Summer night lows drop down to the 50's.
