Springs Country Inn is a magnificent site to get some rest, and the views at Saint Croix National Scenic River will blow your mind. A splendid location for whitewater paddling near Hawkinson Lake is Apple River, and Hawkinson Lake is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Schillberg's Campgrounds is a glorious local campground. Hawkinson Lake is right by the Sunrise Ferry Hiking Trail, and there's no such thing       as a bad day of skiing at nearby Trollhaugen. Hawkinson Lake gets a normal amount of yearly rain; most of the rain falls during June, and the driest month is February. For the period of the warm days of summer at Hawkinson Lake highs are ordinarily in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 20's; after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Hawkinson Lake descend into the 0's.                  If you fancy the outdoors, you'll adore Hawkinson Lake.
