After a long day outdoors Best Western Bemidji Inn is a good spot to spend a night or two, and Pine Ridge Campground is a brilliant campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful. On a fine day at Lake Hattie you can take a hike along the Eagle Scout Trail; you'll hit upon a pretty lake called Wolf Lake. Life's too short       to enjoy all the amusing stuff next to Lake Hattie. There is a nice hiking trail close to Lake Hattie called the Nicolet Trail, and why not head up to Buena Vista and strap some skis to your feet. The Desoto Trail is a nice hiking trail near Lake Hattie; Quality Inn Bemidji is a good spot to get some rest. From a precipitation point of view Lake Hattie is a relatively typical site; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily June, that's the one that rains                  the most, and February is the month with the least moisture. Through the summer at Lake Hattie highs are typically in the 80's, and the overnight is slightly cooler of course, generally in the 50's.
