This lake is one of the great places here in the Mesabi Range. If the weather is great here at Haskell Lake, you can go for a hike along the Skeeter Lake Trail System, and Haskell Lake is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Jko Campground is a fine local campground. An average amount of precipitation falls at Haskell Lake; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain       while February is commonly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. A forest right next door to Haskell Lake is Marcell Experimental Forest. There's so much to do here at Haskell Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Prairie Lake Campground is a good place for that. For the duration of the days of summer here at Haskell Lake, high temperatures generally get into the 70's with nighttime lows in the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 10's                  while Haskell Lake night low temperatures during the winter are in the-20's. So much enjoyable stuff to do here in the Mesabi Range, too pleasant to be true. If you need a location to stay Budget Host Inn Grand Rapids is a great choice, and on a good day you can take a hike along the Wasson Lake Trail. The Wilson Lake Trail is a glorious hiking trail close to Haskell Lake, and Balsam Lake is a pleasant lake nearby. Now, you may believe that's plenty but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here at Haskell Lake.
