     A wonderful nearby hotel is Microtel Inn & Suites New Ulm, and a lake nearby is Horseshoe Lake. The amount of rainfall that falls at Harris Lake is close to the national average; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain, and January meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Holiday Inn NEW ULM is a splendid spot to get some rest, and a great location to camp here at Harris Lake is Watona Park Campground and Park. You could also  
   visit Lieberg Lake while you're here at Harris Lake; it's close by; you're sure to come across some good folks from Mankato-North Mankato here.
If you like the outdoors, you'll adore Harris Lake. Take a side visit to Morgan Creek, and camping at Cedar Grove Camp Ground is always a brilliant experience. Summertime highs at Harris Lake frequently tend to be in the 80's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's; through the dark hours in the winter at Harris Lake temperatures dip to the 0's.

I loved Cedar Grove Campgrounds!!! I have some wonderful memories of this place. I was wondering if anyone knew if Cedar Grove campground is still open? I used to camp here as a child growing up and we stopped camping here due to the fact that we were told that it was being mined for the sand. Does anyone know if this is true? I would love to start camping there if they are open....
