If you love the outdoors, you'll adore Hand Lake. Cascade River Campground is a great local campground; while you're here, you could visit Ball Club Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel - Grand Marais, and there is a great hiking trail nearby called the North Shore State Trail. If you come at the right time of year, Cascade River offers some magnificent whitewater,       and if you need a place to stay East Bay Suites is a fine choice. Hand Lake gets a normal amount of yearly rain; during August this area sees the most rain; February on the other hand is the driest. Summertime highs at Hand Lake commonly tend to be in the 70's while nighttime lows are generally in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 10's; nighttime lows in the-10's for Hand Lake. Hand Lake is a glorious location to visit for more than one day, Two                  Island Lake Campground is a glorious location to camp nearby, and going for a hike on the South Lake Portage is always a magnificent adventure.
