Nearby lakes? Sure, Cross Bay Lake is close to Ham Lake, and on a glorious day you can take a hike along the Granite River Portage. At Ham Lake all through the summer months highs are in the 70's. Summer night lows sink down to the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 10's with winter lows in the-10's overnight       here at Ham Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Ham Lake is a good place of typical rainfall; throughout August this area sees the most rain; February is when it's the driest. If the weather is pleasant here at Ham Lake, you can go for a hike along the Pine Portage, and if you need a spot to stay Eagle Ridge Resort at Lutsen Mountains is a nice choice. This lake is so wonderful. A fine close by hotel is Caribou Highlands Lodge; Baker Lake Campground is a                  wonderful local campground. There's whitewater on Temperance River for all you adrenaline kick people, and why not camp at Gunflint Pines while you're here at Ham Lake. Now, you may assume that's heaps but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here at Ham Lake.
