Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at close by Pigeon River Impoundment, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Simpson Creek Trail System. Hale Lake gets a normal amount of yearly rainfall; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. Middle Pigeon River Campground is a great local campground, and you can have a tremendous hiking adventure along the Cutfoot Sioux National Recreation Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Hale Lake is a perfect site to visit for more than one day, West Seelye Campground is a perfect site to camp nearby; Pigeon Dam Lake is not                  far at all from Hale Lake. Going for a hike along the South Highbanks Trail System will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and obviously, this is a fine neighborhood for people who like lakes, Pigeon Dam Lake is a lake in the vicinity. Throughout the warmest time of the year highs here at Hale Lake reach the 70's while overnight lows are generally in the 50's.
