Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore nearby Wawa Lake; going for a hike on the North Country Trail is always a brilliant adventure. This lake is so wonderful. Americinn - Walker, Mn is a nice spot to get some rest, and some of the water nearby flows, like Whipholt Creek. If you need a site to stay Trappers Landing       Lodge is a good choice. Not far from Hagen Lake, you'll discover Lauer Lake which is a picturesque lake; you'll meet a lot of people from Brainerd here. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining stuff in the neighborhood of Hagen Lake. Hagen Lake is a great location to visit for more than one day, Pikedale Lodge is a great location to camp nearby; you can go for a hike on the Lake Erin Trail.
