The Carter Lake Trail offers hiking at its best, and if you get bored of Gull Lake you could also explore nearby Loon Lake. Americinn - Blackduck, Mn is a great site to get some rest. There's so much to do here at Gull Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Moens Birch Haven Campground is a tremendous site for that. School Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop at; do take a hike on the Webster Lake Trail System.       This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express Bemidji, Mn, and Gull Lake is right by the Meadow Lake Trail System. Gull Lake gets very little precipitation; through the month of June you get the most rain around here, and February is when it's the driest. At Gull Lake through the warm months highs are in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 10's, and night lows during the                  wintertime for Gull Lake tend to be in the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting stuff right next door to Gull Lake. Gull Lake is not far at all from Bemidji, and beautiful scenery and glorious skiing is what you obtain at Buena Vista.
