    If you are traveling by, why not stop by Grytal Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Do stop by Lake Albert in the neighborhood of Grytal Lake, it's a delightful lake, and camping at Ico Campground is always a wonderful experience. Grytal Lake gets a normal amount of annual rainfall; June is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is February. Everybody close by loves skiing at Giants Ridge.

   keep you coming back time and again. While you're here at Grytal Lake, you could also go to delightful Berg Lake, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Bug Creek. You're sure to encounter some smiling folks from Duluth here, and whitewater paddling is tremendous on Cloquet River. If you need a site to stay Eveleth Super 8 Motel is a delightful choice, and if you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on St. Louis  
               River.
All through the summer months here at Grytal Lake, high temperatures frequently reach the 70's; all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Throughout the wintertime highs are mostly in the 10's, and nighttime lows in the-10's for Grytal Lake. A splendid close by hotel is Lodge At Giants Ridge; camping is available at Cloquet River Inn.

The river is at least 100 miles long. I've paddled from Katherine Lake to the St. Louis River and there is plenty of river to paddle besides the section from US 53 to US 2. The top section, from Katherine Lake to Lake Co #2 is an especially wild ride, and I've only done it once, but the drop is incredible, sometimes like a logging flume....

We are always listed as a resort with cabin rentals. our 7 site seasonal campground that has not had an opening for several years, so it is never listed under campgrounds.
