Visit Bug Creek while you're here at Grytal Lake, and the snow is fine at Giants Ridge. From a precipitation point of view Grytal Lake is a reasonably normal location; the wettest month of the year is regularly June, that's the one that rains the most, and February is the month with the least moisture. River. Stay the night at Ico Campground, and Super 8 Eveleth is a good place to get some rest. Yep, outdoors entertaining things to do are beyond doubt bountiful here at Grytal Lake. You can run the rapids of Cloquet River in the neighborhood of Grytal Lake, and not far from Grytal Lake you'll hit upon Lake Albert which is a lovely lake.

 | 16 miles away The river is at least 100 miles long. I've paddled from Katherine Lake to the St. Louis River and there is plenty of river to paddle besides the section from US 53 to US 2. The top section, from Katherine Lake to Lake Co #2 is an especially wild ride, and I've only done it once, but the drop is incredible, sometimes like a logging flume.... |
