Man Lake is close by; Goose Lake is not far at all from Brainerd. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Goose Lake. Don't leave Goose Lake without first going for a hike along the Lake Erin Trail; dry warm beds await you at Rodeway Inn Pine River. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Trappers Landing Lodge is a tremendous location to spend a night or two, and Goose Lake is a nice location       to visit for more than one day, Austin's Swamp is a nice location to camp nearby. Goose Lake gets a normal amount of rain; June is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month is February. There are good locations to discover along the Goose Lake Trail System, of course you could also pop by Barnum Lake since you're here; it's not far at all. Go for a hike on the North Country Trail, and Deer Acres is a glorious campground nearby. Summertime                  highs at Goose Lake mostly tend to be in the 70's, and the overnight is rather chillier of course, commonly in the 50's.
