Now, you may imagine that's a heap but there's even more amusing stuff to do here at Gadwall Lake. If time allows, Grand Portage National Monument       is a national park worth a visit, and Gadwall Lake is not the only location nearby, Pine Lake is a nearby lake. Through the months of summer, highs ordinarily are in the 70's at Gadwall Lake, and the nighttime is slightly colder of course, regularly in the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 10's, and night lows in the-10's for Gadwall Lake. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors East Bay Suites is a great place to spend a night                  or two. Whitewater paddling is splendid on Kadunce River, and if you've had enough of Gadwall Lake, Vale Lake is nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Lesser Cherry Portage is splendid fun, and Kimball Lake Campground is a great campground nearby. Gadwall Lake is a good spot of typical rain; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is February.
