Hiking along the Carter Lake Trail is great fun, and not far from Funk Lake you'll locate Flenner Lake which is a beautiful lake. You'll meet a lot of folks from Bemidji here; going for a hike along the Camp Rabideau CCC Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. Have a tremendous hiking adventure along the Webster Lake Trail System, and after a long day outdoors Hampton Inn Suites Bemidji is a brilliant spot to spend a night or two. This

| | spot is so good, just check out all the exciting stuff to do right next door to Funk Lake. A good spot to camp here at Funk Lake is Moens Birch Haven Campground, and naturally Coburn Creek flows through this vicinity.
This lake is so wonderful. All through the summer here at Funk Lake, high temperatures frequently reach the 70's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. Through the wintertime highs are generally in the 10's, | |

and night lows at Funk Lake all through the winter generally sink into the-10's. The slopes of Buena Vista are so inviting nobody can resist, and there are other spots here than Funk Lake, for example Hanson Lake.
This lake is
so wonderful. Funk Lake is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Tomahawk Lodge Resort and RV Park is a pleasant local campground, and a nice close by hotel is Americinn - Blackduck, Mn. Funk Lake is pretty dried up mostly;
the wettest month of the year is typically June, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest of the months is February.

A pair of loons nest in the narrows, and 8 pair of Canadian Gesse nest in the wetland on the west side of the upper lake, raising aproximently 30 young each year. The Beavor and Otters are also in heaven on this lake. It has good fishing for Northern, Bass, Blue Gills , and Crappies. It is what is called a coffee water lake being very dark in color, causing the fish to be beautiful.... |
