    Do stop by Franklin Lake while you're in this part of Minnesota. Get your pulse rate up on the great whitewater of Big Fork. Lakes are good; Crum Lake is a lake that's near Franklin Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Valley River Trail, and you're most likely interested in lakes, Pocquette Lake is one of those close by. Don't leave Franklin Lake without first going for a hike along the Wilson Lake Trail, and Stony Brook Campground is a magnificent  
   campground nearby.
You think that's enough? Just getting warmed up. A great nearby hotel is International Falls-Days Inn. Going for a hike on the Holstrum Spur Trail is always a wonderful adventure, and Thistledew Campground is a good local campground. From a rain point of view Franklin Lake is a pretty common place; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain; the driest of the months is February.
