Hiking is a popular thing to do around Fool Lake; Granite River Portage is a nice local trail, and after a long day outdoors Americinn - Tofte, Mn is a splendid site to spend a night or two. For the period of the months of summer at Fool Lake temperatures are typically in the 70's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 50's. During the winter highs are ordinarily in the 10's, and through the dark hours       in the winter at Fool Lake temperatures plunge to the-10's. Fool Lake is a glorious spot to visit for more than one day, Baker Lake Campground is a glorious spot to camp nearby; while you're here, you could also pop by picturesque Swollen Ankle Lake. Fool Lake gets a typical amount of annual precipitation; throughout August this area sees the most rain; the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Fool Lake without first going for                  a hike along the Rib Lake Trail, and you can run the rapids of Poplar River. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors fun things the area right next door to Fool Lake has to offer. Lucky Pay Lake is a nearby lake that you could go to, and Gunflint Pines is a great campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Pine Portage. You can never get enough of the good skiing at Lutsen, and Caribou Highlands Lodge is a pleasant place to get some rest.
