Lake Five gets a common amount of rainfall; June is when you get the most rain here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. What a place this is for outdoors people. Moose Creek is a great place to stop at, and a good nearby hotel is Lodge at Crooked Lake. While       you're here at Lake Five you can take a hike along the Markville Snowmobile Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Minnesota-Wisconsin Boundary State Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and if you've had enough of Lake Five, McGowan Lake is close by. There are some pleasant whitewater spots on Lower Tamarack River, and Riverview Campground is a fine local campground. There's whitewater on St. Croix River for all                  you thrill seekers, and most likely you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Kenney Lake is just a very short distance away. For the period of the days of summer highs here at Lake Five get into the 80's, and the nighttime is quite cooler of course, generally in the 50's.
