On a magnificent day at First Lake you can take a hike along the Otterkill Trail, and in close proximity to First Lake you come across a golf course called Twin Pines Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Quality Inn Bemidji is a great place to spend a night or two. There's so much to do here at       First Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Island Lake Resort is a wonderful spot for that. First Lake gets very little rainfall; June is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is February. Summer brings highs in the 80's to First Lake; the night is a tad cooler of course, regularly in the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are generally in the 10's while the cold winter nights at First Lake are in the-10's. Super 8 Fosston is a brilliant                  place to get some rest, and a charming lake like Second Lake is a magnificent place to go to. Now, you may imagine that's loads but there's even more cool stuff to do here at First Lake.
