Don't forget to take a delightful little spree to Fond du Lac Creek, and you can stay the night at K O A Kampgrounds. From a rainfall point of view First Lake is a reasonably typical place; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. What a spot this is for outdoors people. Get dripping wet paddling on Midway River; a great nearby hotel is       Americinn - Cloquet, Mn. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on St. Louis River is so much fun, and while you're here you can play some golf at Black Bear Golf Course. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to First Lake, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are typically in the 10's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at First Lake drop into the-10's. First Lake is not the only place nearby,                  Chub Lake is a nearby lake, and Cloquet/Duluth KOA is a glorious campground nearby.
